Membership Services
Farm Bureau Membership is open to all individuals, whether you are a supporter, community member, college student, or recieve an income related to the agriculture industry. All members will receive the LCFB's bi-monthly newsletter in the mail, or can request through email. Our recent newsletters can also be found on the Program & Events page. Farmers and ranchers who receive income from production agriculture and those who receive income from the farming industry join as Agricultural Members and receive the weekly Ag Alert®, California’s number one agricultural trade journal. Business Suppoer and President's Club Members are those who want to take their Agricultural Membersip to another level, and give extra support to our local Farm Bureau. If you do not derive income from the agriculture industry, but would still like to support our efforst of protecting Lake County and California's agricutlure, you can join as an Associate Member. Associate Members receive the bimonthly California Bountiful, filled with useful information and background on food production, home gardening and other subjects.
Membership Levels
Agricultural Member
$175 Annually
Any member who expects to receive income during the coming year from actual farming operations, either as an owner, lessor, lessee, or officer, substantial shareholder or full-time employee of such owner, lessor or lessee. Any member who received income from farming in the past five years, or expects to receive income from the farming industry also qualifies to be an agricultural member with voting rights.
As an Agriculture Member, you will receive the weekly Ag Alert produced by the California Farm Bureau Federation.
Associate Member
$85 Annually
Open to all individuals and businesses who do not derive income from agriculture. Many join because of savings and discounts on insurance programs (auto, home, business) and for access to other great benefit programs (travel, theme parks, home improvement, pharmacy discounts, etc).
Another great benefit is an annual subscription to the popular California Bountiful magazine, which is produced bi-monthly.
Business Support Member
$200 Annually
Open to all individuals and businesses, who wish to take their membership to another level in order to provide added support to the work being done by the Lake County Farm Bureau. Do not need to have income derived from farming operations and will still retain all benefits that pertain to an associate or agricultural membership. Additional benefit of discounted advertisements in the Lake County Farm Bureau's bi-monhtly publication that reaches over 800 households and businesses.
As an Business Support Member, you will receive the weekly Ag Alert produced by the California Farm Bureau Federation
Collegiate Member
$25 Annually
Any student between the ages of 16-24 may join at this reduced rate, and enjoy online access to the Ag Alert news publication, and information exclusive to members about scholarships, internships, career opportunities, and information about the Young Farmers and Ranchers program in their local area.
* Members at this rate do not have access to the discount programs associated with Agricultural or Associate rates.
President's Club Member
$400 Annually
Any agriculture member or business that derives income from agriculture operations, that wants to further support the hard work of the Lake County Farm Bureau. Additional benefit of discounted advertisements in the Lake County Farm Bureau's bi-monhtly publication that reaches over 800 household and businesses. Will retain all benefits that are included in an agricultural membership. As an President's Club Member, you will recieve the weekly Ag Alert produced by the California Farm Bureau Federation
